City Year Boston's blog gives inside look at work done in Boston schools

One of my latest discoveries is City Year Boston’s blog, which showcases the work the organization does in Boston’s public and charter schools. It’s really inspiring to see all the enthusiasm these young adults bring into the classrooms.

Here are some recent highlights from posts about West Zone schools:

Not sure to reach you but thought I'd try here. Superintendent Johnson is coming to the Mendell today to make an announcement. We don't know what it will be but likely involves some changes. She'll be there today (4/29) at 4 PM.

Thanks for letting me know, Kristin. Please keep me posted, especially if BPS doesn't publicize it widely.

Hello,

Sorry I'm a little late to this post, but I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Elliot Haney, and I have been an author on the Boston Blog all of last year, and this year, I am the senior corps member in charge of it and the people who will be writing about their new experiences.

For the summertime, I will be reposting some of the more interesting articles from the past year, but once the new corps begins their work in schools, everything will hit its stride again.

I wanted to thank you for representing us on your own website, and I hope you will like what is to come!

Sincerely,
Elliot Haney
