In case you missed it...

The Boston Globe had a story recently about BPS preparing for budget cuts, thanks to less local aid from the state. It looks like they're expecting a $100 million shortfall in their $800 million budget. Hundreds of teachers and staff members could lose their jobs. According to the Globe:

The district will collect budgets from individual schools in mid-January and submit the district's budget to the School Committee in February. The School Department will not cut spending across the board, but base budgets on the size of the school, level, and specific needs.
