School mergers

Since I wasn’t able to attend the School Committee meeting last night, I’ll have to relay the Globe’s version. They approved expanding two pilot schools -- Tech Boston Academy and Young Achievers. The Academy of Public Service and Noonan Business Academy will merge. Seven grammar schools (K-8) will be created through more mergers. I’m not sure what that last part means for parents like me.

It appears the Globe is the only local outlet that covered it, but I did see a small blurb about it on WCVB this morning. Nada on their website.
